Entry & Eligibility Information
Entries Open: March 6, 2024 at 9:00 AM (CST)
Entries Close/Withdraw Date: May 6, 2024 at 5:00 PM (CST)

Entry Fee: $350 per person
(Note: U.S. Women Open qualifiers will receive a full refund)

Eligibility: Open to female amateur golfers who have a WHS Handicap Index not exceeding 6.0 All contestants must have a handicap index computed under a WHS Handicap System and must be issued from a “golf club” which is licensed to the WHS Handicap System.

Championship Information
Format/Field Size: 36 holes of Stroke Play Qualifying. Low 32 will advance to single elimination match play. The field is limited to 78 players.

Yardage: 6,100-6,355 yards (Par 72)

What’s Included: The entry fee includes cart fees, range balls, practice round, tournament play, lunch on June 3-6, and prizes.

Practice Rounds: Each player is allowed one (1) complimentary practice round at Ol’ Colony Golf Complex on Sunday, June 2nd. Players must contact the host club golf shop at (205) 562-3201 and identify themselves as competitors in the WSGA Championship to schedule a practice round. To receive priority access for a tee time, players may call on May 22, 23, 24. Additional Practice Rounds may be scheduled at the applicable rate.

Player Registration: Player registration will be held on Sunday June 2nd from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. If a player cannot make registration, she must notify a WSGA official at the host club that she is unable to make the registration deadline but will be competing in the championship.

Prizes/Awards
AMATEUR CHAMPION – The Amateur Trophy will be awarded to the Overall Amateur Champion.
AMATEUR MEDALIST – The Evelyn Monsted Trophy will be awarded to the player having the lowest qualifying score in the Amateur Championship.
JUNIOR MEDALIST – The Marty Webb Trophy will be awarded to the player in the Amateur Championship who has not reached her 19th birthday before the end of the Championship and who has the lowest qualifying score.

Transportation: All players MUST ride during the practice round and all championship rounds. Personal caddies are not permitted during the championship.

Electronic Measuring Devices: Electronic devices that measure distance measure distance only are allowed for this championship.

Withdraw Policy: Prior to the entry deadline players looking to withdraw should do so online through their Golf Genius profile to receive an immediate refund and withdrawal. After the entry deadline has passed players should either call the Tournament Director, Kristi Knight at (214) 468-8942 or kknight@txga.org. Only withdrawals on the day of the competition should be directed to the host club golf shop.

Refund Policy: If a player withdraws prior to the entry withdraw date she will receive a full refund, less a $25.00 administrative fee. If a player withdraws after the withdraw date has passed, the player will not receive a refund unless the spot is filled by a wait-listed player (the $25.00 administrative fee is still applicable in this circumstance). However, if the player withdraws within three business days, prior to the day of the first round, and the spot is filled with an alternate player, she will receive a 50% refund of the entry fee. In exceptional circumstances, a player may file a written appeal for a refund to the Championship Decisions Committee. These will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

WSGA Medical Cart Request Policy: Spectator carts are prohibited. However, spectators may request golf carts in accordance with ADA compliance standards. Requests for golf carts must be emailed to the Tournament Director, Kristi Knight (kknight@txga.org) with the required accompanying medical documentation. A request will not be deemed complete until all required information and documentation have been provided. This must be completed by May 29th at 5:00 PM (CST)
